A big festive welcome to my first Captain’s blog as we approach the end of my first month as Captain. If they all go as fast as that it’s a short lived experience!

The AGM was well attended, we introduced the new business plan and advised the members about our vision for the future of Junior Golf by way of the new Williamwood Academy.

Captain’s Day was very well attended, balls went relatively straight and everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet all on a lovely sunny frosty morning.

Excellent feedback has been received from the various Christmas lunches during December and I am proud to say that the catering staff have stepped right up, after @34’s departure, to ensure the members have been well catered for.

The children’s Christmas party was a great success, Santa appeared over the 18th fairway amidst a snow storm and 106 children and adults enjoyed a very festive afternoon.

You will all have received your survey form by now.  The information received through the survey will be the foundation of the club moving forward in a way the members want to see. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete your survey form.

I hope you all enjoy a few days recovery from the over indulgence of Christmas and I look forward to seeing many of you at the Hogmanay Party.
