Dear Members,
What beautiful weather we had for the AM-AM and the other competitions this weekend. Let us hope that the warm weather continues for as long as possible and members get out on the course to enjoy their golf. Last Thursday saw a very successful Charity AM-AM which raised well over £6,000 for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation and my thanks goes to all those involved. The following day, Friday, our junior team had a great result at home to Cathcart Castle in the Fleming Watson League, winning a tight match 5-1. They remain unbeaten this season with four wins from four matches and we hope they can continue this fine form. I continue to receive many words of praise for the high quality of our catering from our catering franchisee, Mr. Andrew Beattie. If you haven’t dined at the club lately, I would urge you to do so, to sample the delights and support the club. Best wishes and happy golfing Ken GrayCaptain

George Crawford on winning the Gents 2009 Club Championship with a 2 and 1 victory over Alan Syme.
Mary Scott on winning the Ladies Championship with a 5 and 3 victory against Susan Ramsay.
Stewart Campbell on winning the Junior Championship winning at the 36 hole against Steven Gray
