Hole 1 - Orchard

Par 4 - Stroke 10

386 / 365 / 368 YARDS

Many prefer to hit their first shot with an iron. A slice can put you out of bounds and trees are awaiting the hookers, shutting out a second shot to the green. A good long tee shot down the middle is helped considerably by a downhill contour and a good roll of the ball can be gained particularly in dry conditions. This leaves a relatively short iron to the large green. There are two bunkers - one front right and a particularly nasty one at the lower left side.

The 1st, aim straight between the trees, it's easy so they say, but watch that wind from left to right. You’re on your wayward way into the flats, but hush no crash, it bounces on the lawn. Around the tee oh such remarks, you wish you weren’t born. Three off the tee, the trend is set, your spirits they do sag, but look your fourth stroke from the gap lies up against the flag. You tap it in and just say five as if it’s in the bag.
